Town & Sea is an online auction marketplace for everything home! We service local estate sales on our online auction platform attracting bidders nationwide! Our goal is to help our clients quickly earn money from items they no longer want or need with no upfront fees involved! We are currently cataloging auctions in Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY.

How do we get started?

Getting started is easy! Send us a message via our “Contact Us” page and we will be in touch promptly to schedule an in-person or virtual preview appointment! After the preview, if you agree to our auction terms, we will simply need a signed client agreement before cataloging your sale for auction!

What is the commission structure?

There are no upfront fees involved! Our sellers receive 70% of their item’s hammer price. The hammer price is the winning bid at auction. Once the items have been paid for and picked up, payments will be issued!

How long do the auctions run for?

Town & Sea auctions run on average from 2-3 weeks. We recommend that all items start at $1 creating a thrilling bidding experience! For a select few high value and special items we are open to inputting a reserve or start price. These will be agreed to prior to the auction starting.

Are we in charge of coordinating the pick-ups with the winning bidders?

Town & Sea oversees all pickup arrangements with the winning bidders. All we ask, is that all items are made available to the Town & Sea representative on the agreed upon pickup date. If items are not easily accessible, we may ask the Seller to hire some extra hands on the designated pick-up date to ensure that all items are safely removed from the home.
